Launch Day at Hexham: Studio’s First Steps in the Field

Last Friday marked a huge milestone for us at MartEye. After two and a half years of building, testing, and refining, we officially launched Studio. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to begin than Hexham & Northern Marts.
As the first market to adopt MartEye Studio, Hexham are true pioneers. Their team has worked closely with us over the past few months, offering detailed feedback, thoughtful ideas, and plenty of patience. That collaboration has helped shape Studio into the platform it is today. They didn’t just adopt it; they helped build it.

From the moment we arrived, the Hexham team made us feel incredibly welcome. The sun was shining in the north, and after a quick dip in the River Tyne to start the day, we got straight to work.
We tested the entire workflow:
- Scanning animals in the pens using the Studio mobile app
- Lotting up the sale catalogue
- Running the sale live through the Rostrum interface
- Processing buyer carts and sending out invoices and statements by email and print
Everything ran smoothly, just as we’d hoped.

To mark the occasion, we presented the team with a certificate of gratitude recognising them as Studio Customer #1. It was a small way of saying thank you for their trust, support, and pioneering spirit.

It was a proud day for the whole MartEye team. After years of development, seeing Studio in action in a real market was something we won’t forget.
This is just the beginning. We’re excited for what’s ahead.
